When we talk about the Middle Dalmatia, and about the attractions we can find there, we usually think about National Park Krka. That magnificent river abounds in beauty of nature, scientific mysteries, important cultural and historic sights and ways of using its water sources. Thanks to travertine barriers and the constant process of calcification, river Krka today, with its 7 travertine falls, represents a natural Karst phenomenon. There is also a great cultural meaning of this Park. In the middle of the Park, on the small island, is placed a small Franciscan church from the 17th century, called “Visovac”.
